So I get it now…Paul Verhoeven is hoeing out all his franchise films from the 80’s and 90’s so he can sit in the lap of luxury in a shack in Tahiti. Makes “Total” sense. Why wouldn’t you? In an age of unoriginality it’s just like Hollywood to reach back into their arsenal and mind fuck the youth of today into believing that nothing existed before what we are about to serve you. Well, little darlings, eat away cause in addition to this classic film, RoboCop and StarShip Troopers are being slated for a makeover. Man, I’m only 38…can’t we have just one more film renaissance before it all goes to hell? Apparently not and seeing as how this man brought us some pivotal cinema in the 80’s and 90’s, expect to see his whole catalogue redone in the coming years.
