Director Mimi Cave brings to life “My Country” by the Tune Yards by giving it a dash of whimsy. Like being in an Edward Wurm photo, the punch needed to give this ol world a kick in the ass comes from a child’s fist (that’s mine, don’t steal it). Lead singer Merrill Garbus is no stranger to working with kids. Their video for Bizness was another one of those Dead Poet Society of Flies video’s that likens itself to a revolution of the Sesame Street proportions. I’m feeling this new track! You should too!
