TRAILER FOR THE NEW MICHEL GONDRY FILM “THE WE AND THE I”

Watching the youth in New York can be quite a trip. Having just moved from there, I can say first hand, there’s never a dull moment. That’s kind of the charm of public transportation in the Big Apple. The vibes are sometimes good and sometimes bad and when it all goes down there’s nowhere to run until your stop. Conundrum…hey, but what doesn’t kill us…right? This trailer for Michel Gondry’s new coming of age film The We and The I brings back all those ridiculous MTA moments like a flood.

An upcoming indie flick directed and co-written by Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Green Hornet) and starring a cast of unknowns. The film set to open the Directors’ Fortnight section at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.

It tells a heartfelt and comical story of the final bus ride home for a group of young high school students and graduates. As kids depart the bus for the last time, we get to learn about these graduates as they step into the world — their love, their conflicts, their despair and their hope.
