I am a child of the eighties, so I grew up on the trickle over from the seventies, be it music, movies. literature or television and to this day I feel as if I should have at least spent my teens in the seventies. I think I would’ve loved it, but I digress. Paul William’s…you probably have never heard that name before, just like you’ve probably have never heard of Rodney Bingenhiemer, but one way or another you’ve been influenced by them. Paul William’s is this triple threat (writer, actor) who’s acted in tons of films and television shows in the 60’s and 70’s and wrote music for them as well as writing music for hit acts like The Carpenters and Linda Ronstadt. Sure he’s gnomish, but he’s hella-talented and someone who a lot of us thirty-somethings remember seeing on t.v. and talk shows back in the day and were not really able to grasp who this guy was. Well here’s a documentary directed by Stephen Kessler about the man who’s not only alive (contrary to popular belief), but doing damn well for himself.
