Thank G-d for synopsis’s cause this trailer is more cryptic than the first one. This is the second trailer for P.T. Anderson’s “The Master” loosely based, but denied all to hell, on the real life story of L.Ron Hubbard (The creator of Dianetics/Scientology). I don’t why they don’t come out and say that it’s a biopic. It’s not like L.Ron wouldn’t be tickled shitty to know that all his work has finally paid off and someone has done a film about him and it doesn’t involve John Travolta and Forrest Whittaker dressed as aliens. I’m mean why else have you been schmoozing the Hollywood elite for all these years? Getting back, the tempo of this trailer is a lot like the OTHER, but there’s a moment and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about, when it gets pretty schizophrenic. Maybe P.T. is giving us little insight into the mental stability of Jaoquin’s character Freddy or Phillips character. Then Amy Adam’s comes along. Nothing like a beautiful red head to break up the psycho, testosterone. Amy Adam’s plays Hoffman’s wife in this battle of wits and appears to be giving us her best Caroline Ingalls. It all seems like a well edited Rorschach test (which you can take HERE if you get the hankering). Enjoy!!
A 1950s-set drama centered on the relationship between a charismatic intellectual known as “the Master” whose faith-based organization begins to catch on in America, and a young drifter who becomes his right-hand man.
