It was about a month ago we challenged you, our readers, to guess the name, composer and titles of ten science fiction film/tv soundtracks. The response was less than desirable and most of us at MITNG had begun questioning our approach. We began blaming ourselves and saying maybe if we had toasted the bread better or maybe we could have tried listening harder when you told us to shut up and get back in the box. Well we did as you said, we got back in the box and beat ourselves with limp broccoli spears and this is what we’ve come up with…we hope you like it.
Some of you may be familiar with the works of Brian K. Vaughn, he’s done such astounding graphics as Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina and Buffy The Vampire Slayer, well he has a new comic book out right now that has been doing very well called SAGA released through Image Comics. The first six issues are in their 4th or 5th press already. I think the last time I looked at Ebay Saga #1 first print was going for 45 to 50 dollars…not to shabby.
When two soldiers from opposite sides of a never-ending galactic war fall in love, they risk everything to bring a fragile new life into a dangerous old universe. From New York Times bestselling writer Brian K. Vaughan (Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina) and critically acclaimed artist Fiona Staples (Mystery Society, North 40), Saga is the sweeping tale of one young family fighting to find their place in the worlds. Fantasy and science fiction are wed like never before in this sexy, subversive drama for adults. This specially priced volume collects the first six issues of the smash-hit series The Onion A.V. Club calls “the emotional epic Hollywood wishes it could make.”
What does all this mean? It means we are giving away Saga Volume #1 as a prize to whoever has the stones to figure these simple ass soundtracks out. That’s right… all six issues yours and packaged like a severed head under your Christmas tree! When this baby drops (no pun intended) on Oct 23 2012 it’s yours if you get all the answers right. What more do you want?!!!!
