Man…December 4th can not get here soon enough. This latest trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is chock full of new images, environment’s and monsters, but still no Smaug. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to most of our readers who have been following the Middle Earth shenanigan’s. According to Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch who performed motion capture for the legendary dragon, he said jokingly during an interview with Anne Richardson “I think my eye might open at the end of the first film and then you’ll get the rest of me in the second.” This statement was taken before Peter Jackson announced he was making three films fyi. Either way their appears to be tons of good stuff to keep us Ringers preoccupied until then. Enjoy this spectacular trailer!
The Hobbit stars Martin Freeman,Richard Armitage,Sir Ian McKellen,Cate Blanchett,Hugo Weaving and Sylvester McCoy. The film is due out in theaters in 3D on December 3rd 2012.
