The balls on these kids these days. Well as a wiseman once said “the only thing you have in this world are your balls and your word and you shouldn’t break them for no one”. I have no idea how that phrase plays into this video, The Dark Knight or anything for that matter, but I needed to use a line from Scarface this morning…ahhh much better. Moving on, Arkham Rising is yet another homage to the capped crusader, only this one is set well within the 2012 DKR when Bane runs a muck in Gotham
freeing the inmates of Arkham Asylum. The film builds to it’s climatic ending when we see…The Joker? Yeah another ballsy move, but like I said before…need I repeat myself? The site set up for Arkham Rising gives no details as to who the director or the cast is, possibly the fear of incurring the the wrath of WB has made these yewts go all clandestine on a brotha. Nevertheless the film has received some push since arriving a week ago, so who knows what their demands are. My only beef with the film and this has been mentioned on other sites, is Banes voice. Boy oh boy they could’ve done a with a bit more, that and these softies who we are made to believe are the baddest of the bad in Gotham City. I guess these are the pains with fan films. They are never meant to be taken literally, but they always are.
Arkham Rising is a fan film set during the events of 2012’s most anticipated film, “The Dark Knight Rises.”
Following Batman’s defeat at the hands of the mercenary known as Bane, Gotham City has fallen into chaos. Criminals have been freed to roam the streets. Gotham City is held hostage as not even the National Guard can find a way to release Gotham from its captors. Law enforcement has broken down. The guards at Arkham Asylum, hearing the fate of their counterparts at Black Gate Prison, have abandoned their posts. Only the mentally unstable inmates and those foolish enough to try and engage them remain in Arkham now. Arkham Rising is a fan film meant to answer one of the most asked fan questions at the end of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy and set the stage for a post Dark Knight Rises Gotham. This fan film was created by fans as a tribute to what has been referred to as one of the greatest trilogies in movie history.
