Lasting only half of the 90’s and still up there with greats like Radiohead, Dinosaur Jr, Blur, Oasis and notably Nirvana is a achievement in itself. Refused recently announced that their career will come to an end after a short-lived reunion tour was scheduled. They will play their final show on December 15th in their hometown of Umea, Sweden. They also included a note on their Facebook with the news:
“And now it is coming to a close. It’s been kind to us. And that old punkrock golem ‘The shape of punk to come‘ has done good. The hatchet is buried, 1998 is not such a terrible memory for us anymore. We’re going home. And we’re doing it in style.
“Thank you for populating the pit in 2012.
“Over and out.”
