After that lack luster night of trick or treating I needed a little pick me up and this one failed to disappoint. Today composer Howard Shore (Lord Of The Rings, King Kong) released his track list for all the songs that you’ll hear in The Hobbit, track lists only mind you, no samples. In addition to the track listing that was announced he added that additional tracks will be added to the deluxe addition.
As times draws near and we get closer and closer to the release of The Hobbit December 14th 2012 it’s important to note all the marketing that will come into play especially around the holidays. My advice to you is to look not into the eyes of those capitalist pigs and try to keep focus on the story because if the Hobbit menus at Denny’s (very real) is any example of the tidal wave of shit that’s about to come our way “marketing wise”…we are in for a very long ass Christmas season.

The music of Howard Shore is iconic – instantly recognizable. It immediately evokes such emotion to be captivating and compelling. His genius is behind the legendary soundtracks for “Silence of the Lambs” and LOTR triology. I’ll definitely be grabbing this as well.
His works on LOTR and The Hobbit are a far cry from the stuff he did with Cronenberg and it goes to prove just how diverse he is.
