Just seven more days left until Peter Jackson unleashes the fourth installment of the Middle Earth stories The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. I’ve been watching the production blogs and post that show up often on their official Facebook page and I just have to say one thing… “the people behind the marketing of The Hobbit are awesome”. No fluff, just all truth. They kept you on the set of that film since it’s inception and gave you constant behind the scenes goodies for the entire two hundred plus days of production. Why? Cause they know you know what the film will look like, for the most part, but what a lot of fans really want to see is what goes into making films this epic. Blog after blog and post after post of some real film school shit. It was nothing short of genius and the thought that there was a team of people editing all this footage and making it pretty for us, so as to keep it the same high quality as the movie itself, is pure respect! After watching them I seriously wanted to move to New Zealand. This particular blog will probably be the last one we see until the film and it sets you up lovely. More production shenanigans than I have ever seen and with a lot of interviews with the cast. I will be there on the midnight of the 14th and can’t wait to travel back to that world that we all know and love.
The Hobbit stars Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage, Hugo Weaving, Cate Blanchett and Andy Serkis, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens in 3D December 14th.
