Most of us already know that David Fincher comes from a music video background. He single-handedly ushered in a whole generation of high concept video’s and the music industry hasn’t been the same since. His roster of artists includes…oh wait, I just Googled his music video filmography and Holy S**t, there’s entirely too many to list. This man has been doing it since, get this, 1985, so here’s what I’m going to do, follow this LINK and see for yourself how amazing David Fincher is. Getting back to Justin Timberlake and his latest single “Suit & Tie”, man…this is one sexy video. Probably the most sexy, and when I say sexy I mean classy, video’s I’ve ever seen. The cinematography is absolutely gorgeous, each shot should be blown up and put in a gallery. The video is filled with iconic imagery and leaves an indelible impression on you. As a film student one might ask “what in G-d’s name did they shoot this on?” I don’t have the answers to this yet, but when I do I will update this post. If any of you know, please leave a comment, we would really appreciate it. I know that David works with a ton of cinematographers and equipment ,so who the hell knows, but something tells me this was shot on a prototype…it just feels insane.
