From the day I learned that the Sam Raimi‘s classic was going to get redone, I didn’t have any strong feelings either way. My thoughts were like the studios “show me the trailer”. So when I got to see the first trailer, I still wasn’t convinced, I know I should’ve been because the trailer was rather brutal, but I needed more. Well folks, today I got more and I’m sharing that bit of nastiness with you sick F**K’s! First off, let me congratulate the studio for showing this clip and not trying to trick us out of ten or twelve dollars for some cut away shots. This is as hard as hard get’s. What’s brilliant about it is it looks like all of it was done old school. Clever editing, latex and a load of corn syrup and red dye (that’s the components of fake blood). Just the way the good lord intended it?

Folk’s after this clip, I am sold, consider this ticket bought and I have seats already waiting for you. I think what’s also helping is that it’s not the same storyline, but that it’s another group of kids, with a whole different set of issues stumbling across the Necronomicon (Book of the Dead) in the middle of the woods.
