Featuring the song “I Love You” by the French music video director, graphic designer and singer-songwriter Yoann Lemoine a.k.a Woodkid, this third trailer for Michel Gondry‘s modern fairy tale is exactly what we’ve been waiting for. It gives you more of the story, but above all, it gives you more of what we love about Michel Gondry. His quirky imagination is exploding in this film. Some of the shots in this trailer will leave you wondering how in the hell did he do that. Come to think, I’m still wondering how he did some of the shots in “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind“. This trailer is an excellent example of pushing the limits and I can’t wait to see this film.

Mood Indigo stars Audrey Tatou, Romain Duris, Omar Sy, Gad Elmaleh, and Léa Seydoux and is directed by Michel Gondrey (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Green Hornet). The film is screening in French theaters now, but no word yet as to a U.S. release date.

In a world where you can travel around on a pink cloud or literally be swept off an ice-skating rink into a hole, Colin, a wealthy young man and inventor of the cocktail-mixing piano, wants to fall in love. With the help of his cook Nicolas and best friend Chick, he meets Chloe, the incarnation of a Duke Ellington tune. But soon after their wedding, Chloe falls ill. She has a water lily growing in her chest. Ruined by medical expenses, Colin resorts to increasingly desperate methods to save his beloved’s life…
