As much as I would like to laugh at this, some of it has got to ring true. Maybe not for the song’s fictitious Beth, but for some unfortunate female who had the shit luck of falling in love with one of the members of KISS. The look and cinematography is impeccable, so despite the few laughs this short will receive it get’s high marks on the Boogie Nights meter as being one of those gems that captures the era pretty damn well. You know a song is a classic when it gets parodied. The legendary KISS ballad, “Beth” is no exception. This short film, directed by Brian Billow, chronicles the completely fictitious story of the song’s inspiration. The Peter Criss character’s dialogue stays true to the song’s lyrics
