If your not familiar with Juxtapose magazine, your missing out on some of the most ground breaking modern art of our century. This recent set of photos comes compliments of them and features a collection of works by sculpture TAKANORI AIBA . Clearly driven by fantasy and Japanese culture, he’s taken the time honored practice of Bonsai  and turned them into whimsical worlds, worlds that I don’t mind admitting, I’d love to spend the rest of my days at…with my wife and dog.

Taken from Takanori’s Website

If you explore any small part of Aiba’s works, you find amazing stories and some unique characters. Those takanoriAIBA works are not just imaginary compositions; it is indeed possible to construct the amusement parks.Murakami, who makes Aiba’s models, is also a civil engineer. He is a realist sharing dreams with Aiba. The early bonsai-type models look like bonsai art. Bonsai reflect the Japanese traditional aesthetic sense ofexpressing the magnificence of nature in a small potted plant. However, the density of decoration and the rich stories of Aiba’s works contain extraordinary times and spaces which differ from the bonsai world determined by plants physiology.
