You heard that effing right! The Nolanator is back with another amazing new movie starring Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Casey Affleck, and John Lithgow called Interstellar. According to The Film Stage, the first trailer for the movie is coming out on December 13th and will be attached to Warner Bros.‘ The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.

I’m always intrigued to see Un-Dark Knight related material from Christopher Nolan. Each original film he does, proves more often than not, that he’s one of the best science fiction directors of our time. I expect no less from Interstellar, this should be an event sociological.

The story “chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.”

  1. I really hope this one is as interesting as it sounds. I remember how exciting ‘Event Horizon’ sounded: “A rescue vessel is dispatched to answer a distress signal received from a starship that disappeared during its maiden voyage, found in a decaying orbit around Neptune.” Not exactly what I expected…

      1. *spoiler* … This is a secret prequel to Event Horizon. Please see my other post for explanation and if you’d like to read how I deduced this go to IMDb and look at the synopsis at the very end. The Event Horizon ship is at the very end of the movie.

      2. Great review! Don’t get me wrong, the production values, acting, and story are all very compelling. It’s the graphical depiction of the EH crew’s slide into depravity that skews it for me. (Even though some of the images are almost subliminal.) I also enjoyed the fact that it takes place in our solar system and not some far and distant place.

    1. I’m almost positive this is a prequel to Event Horizon. If you read the synopsis for the film *spoiler ahead* towards the end of the film Cooper searches for Brand who he discovers is aboard a ship called “EVENT HORIZON” before it’s maiden voyage. Clever move Mr. Nolan!

  2. Great review, much of which I agree with. Don’t get me wrong…it’s just more graphic horror than I expected.
