The virus has taken out more than half the human population of Earth and on top of that, there’s those damn dirty apes! This is one superb teaser trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes starring Andy Serkis as Ceaser and directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield). The world is a grim place as the remaining humans search for meaning in a world turned upside down. I get the sense, in this trailer, that not only are most of the humans are dead, but it’s raining all the time…I don’t know, it’s probably just for effect. It looks good though.
The film also stars Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, Gary Oldman, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Kirk Acevedo, Toby Kebbell, Enrique Murciano, and Judy Greer. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes opens in 3D on July 18, 2014.
