Time travel short Dirty Machines: The End of History, proves that Hitchcock and Science fiction go hand in hand

As I was saying…if Hitchcock and Stanley Kubrick had a baby this brilliant short would be it! Okay, I didn’t say all of that, but this story, directed and written by David Matthew Olson is awesome! Set in a time where time travel exist and apparently is readily accessed, the film stars David Matthew Olsen, as a tourist who goes back in time to witness its birth, that is, the moment the formula for time travel was discovered by its inventor.

It’s an extremely clever build up, as our protagonist listens to the tour guide give a step by step recounting of the exact moment it happens. The short builds to a climax when all isn’t right with his physical guide, assigned to David in time dimension.

This video was highlighted by the Short of the Week on YouTube. This film comes compliments of Future Garbage, the creators intellectual property. The cinematography for Dirty Machines was done by Chris Darnell. Dirty Machines is is being developed as a pilot/teaser in the hopes of becoming a series. I could see it on HBO!
