Videogame documentary Gamer Age pays homage to the classics

I was never cool enough to own a game console when I was young, my parents barely let me watch MTV. My exposure came from going over friends house’s and playing Contra and Gauntlet for hours on end, but then I would have to go home and that made me sad. At night I wouldContinue reading “Videogame documentary Gamer Age pays homage to the classics”

Dark Horse Comics releases “The Art of BIOSHOCK:INFINITE”

I’ve no doubt that Bioshock contains some amazing gameplay, but first person shooters always make me nauseous, which is why I’ve never played it and too bad because the concept art in the Bioshock games are outstanding! Since arriving on the scene back in 2007, Bioshock has become a cult favorite among gamers. True fansContinue reading “Dark Horse Comics releases “The Art of BIOSHOCK:INFINITE””

‘Don’t Starve’ this holiday season…seriously, don’t

From the makers of the well-received brawlers Shank and Shank 2 comes a game of survival that is both eerie and kind of charming. The initial premise of Klei Entertainment’s Don’t Starve is that you, a Gentlemen Scientist named Wilson, have been trapped by a demon in some unknown wilderness. From the get-go, you quicklyContinue reading “‘Don’t Starve’ this holiday season…seriously, don’t”

Killzone Intercept and Beyond Black Mesa set the standard for gaming fan films

Infectious Designer is a group of independent filmmakers who really put their heart into creating shorts based within the games they love. The word ‘love’ is not used frivolously.  These movies are intensely detailed and action packed.  Killzone Intercept, taking place during the events of Guerrilla Games release, Killzone 3, rocked me with its sophistication for such aContinue reading “Killzone Intercept and Beyond Black Mesa set the standard for gaming fan films”

Recent trailer shows new features to appear in Animal Crossing: New Leaf

The next development in the Animal Crossing series, which is to be released in the U.S. sometime next year, may have that level of newness that long-time fans want. A new U.S. trailer was released on October 25, though we have already seen much of what is in store for the new game in theContinue reading “Recent trailer shows new features to appear in Animal Crossing: New Leaf”

‘Dead Island: Riptide’ preview and trailer for the April 23, 2013 release

The trailer for the original, Dead Island, I believe is accountable for at least half of the 4 million copies of the game sold.  It’s fantastic and kept me in anticipation to finally play the game for months.  Riptide‘s trailer doesn’t have quite the same intensity, yet is worth the price of admission.  Which is free.  CheckContinue reading “‘Dead Island: Riptide’ preview and trailer for the April 23, 2013 release”

Awesome trailer for the Transformers videogame Fall Of Cybertron

I’m digging this trailer for the new video game Transformers:Fall Of Cybertron for one reason and one reason only. They look like the Transformers from the eighties, the ones I grew up with and not those metallic insects Micheal Bay has given us three times no less. If I was a hardcore gamer I would’veContinue reading “Awesome trailer for the Transformers videogame Fall Of Cybertron”
