Today Nine Inch Nails dropped the first single off their long awaited album Hesitation Marks and it’s quite good. I can only speak for this single, but it’s classic NIN and I’m loving it! We learned about this preview via Antiquiet who had this to say about the track.

Soon after the announcement that their forthcoming LP is titled Hesitation Marks, the brand new song appeared online. Early reports indicated a return to the band’s early sound, with the wobbling synth and beat certainly adding to that feel, but it’s also reminiscent of Year Zero in its shifting atmospheres from verse to chorus.

I’ve been a NIN fan since high school. Like a lot of people, I’m sure, their music helped me get through the H.S. meat grinder, giving me a positive outlet – and, after hearing the first track from the forthcoming album, I’m excited that the energy and vibe are still so strong after so many years. Looking forward to hearing more from the new album!!
